What should I bring to my first SUP class?We recommend that you bring water, sunblock, towel, change of clothes, and a big smile!

How old do you have to be to paddle board?You must be 13 years old to attend classes and excursions with us. For kids 12 and under please schedule a private family lesson or rental with angie@kulasup.com. Ages 12 and under are REQUIRED to bring their own USCG Life Jacket and must wear it at all times out on the water. Ages 9 and under can ride on their parents boards for no extra charge. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!

How long are your classes?Our regular SUP Yoga and Paddle Fit classes are 90 minutes, with a minimum of 60 minutes on the water. Please arrive 20 minutes early to class. This helps us all get out on the water faster! The SUP Excursions are about 2 hours with 90 minutes of paddling.

Where are you located?We have three locations: Lake Como in Smyrna, DE, Bohemia River in Earleville MD, and Paradise Grill in Millsboro, DE. Check our schedule page to see where we'll be.

Could a beginner do SUP Yoga?Of course! We always recommend an Intro to SUP lesson first but all of our SUP Yoga classes are accessible to all levels.

Will I fall in?There's always a chance but it's just water! It's not often that our students fall in the water and we make sure to prepare you with all the tools you need to paddle safely.

Can a beginner do a Paddle Fit Class or LED paddle?No. These classes are for experienced paddlers only. Check out our Intro to SUP class or schedule a private lesson.

Do I need water shoes?Yes. Water shoes are always great to have for launching your paddle board.

Do I need to wear a life jacket?USCG regulations are 12 and under are required to wear their life jacket. Ages 12 an older are required to have them on their paddle board at all times.

Do I need to know how to swim?YES. All participants MUST be able to swim.

How much are your SUP classes?All SUP classes are $35 a person. Special events & SUP Excursions range from $40-$50 a person.

What is your weather/water condition policy?Reschedule to a different date. If we see bad weather on the radar you will be notified as soon as possible.
